Tutorial Tips
Tutorial Tips are helpful Popup-Dialogue nuggets of information provided by Boochbeard and Mr. Gandry throughout the game. They call the pirate's attention to items or information, things to do or look for, and they update the pirate on choices or abilities, and generally how to advance in the game.
A special Tutorial Tip is the Popup-Dialogue Recap that each character receives upon logging in after an absence, to remind the player of the main Storyline Quest they were working on when that character was last played.
Each character can replay the important Tutorial Tips they've received by clicking on the Gear Icon in the Main Menu:
If the player ignores the Tutorial Tip and doesn't follow the instruction to click or press a key, Boochbeard or Gandry will popup again to acknowledge that the player can click Help for more information
There is an option to toggle between showing ALL Tutorial Tips or CRITICAL ONLY, using the first Joystick icon in the Options Menu, for those players who find the information repetitive. A new character created while the option is set to CRITICAL ONLY will skip the basic tips.
